Statutory Accident Benefits Claim

When you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, regardless of fault, you are entitled to accident benefits, also known as no-fault benefits, as prescribed by the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, including:

Income Replacement Benefits: If you are unable to work as a result of your accident, you may be eligible to receive up to 80% of your net employment income to a maximum of $400 per week.

Caregiver Benefits: If you were the primary caregiver for someone that you lived with at the time of the accident and are unable to provide further care as a result, you may be entitled to caregiver benefits.

Medical and Rehabilitation Benefits:  An Insurer should pay for all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred as a result of the accident and as prescribed by the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule.  Your health care professional must submit a treatment plan to the insurer for prior approval.

Attendant Care Benefits: An Insurer will pay for all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred as a result of the accident for services provided by an aide or attendant.

Death Benefits: In the event of a wrongful death caused by a motor vehicle accident, you may be entitled, as a spouse or dependant, to death benefits as prescribed by the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule.
